American Hiking Society's signature trail awareness program, National Trails Day (NTD), is Saturday, June 6.
Connecticut Trails Day events happen on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7.
More than 130 events offer the opportunity to tour the state's landscape - pick a trail detailed in an online Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) PDF brochure and hike, walk, paddle, bike or ride your horse. All levels of abilities can find a selection from strolls to mountaintop hikes.
Events range from trail maintenance, orienteering, or letter boxing or gentler walks to examine local flora and habitats.
CFPA serves as American Hiking Society's state coordinator for Trails Day since 1993.
